Six Flags New Orleans features several exciting coasters and attractions for every member of the family! A new feature is SpongeBob SquarePants(tm): The Ride, as its simulation attraction. The simulator features an exciting 10-minute film based on the popular Nickelodeon(tm) cartoon series and features a video introduction by SpongeBob SquarePants at the start of each show. The signature coaster, Batman: The Ride soars 105 feet in the air at speeds of 50 mph. Suspended from the track in skilift style chairs, you'll fly through hairpin turns, corkscrews and two loops with nothing but air beneath your dangling feet! Classic Roller Coaster Favorites: Reach 65 mph on Mega Zeph or flip on the inverted loops of the Zydeco Scream. The Jester, with over 1,900 feet of track and three inversions. New coaster riders can learn the ropes on Road Runner's Express. Drop from the tallest point in the park on Sonic Slam or free-fall 180 feet from the Skycoaster. Not your speed? Then overcome your acrophobia on The Big Easy Ferris Wheel.

Aquarium of the Americas One of the nation’s leading aquariums, Aquarium of the Americas is located along the banks of the Mississippi River in the historic French Quarter. A visit to the Aquarium spans the underwater world of the Caribbean Sea, the mysterious Amazon Rainforest and the waters that give New Orleans its lifeblood: the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. With 10,000 animals representing 530 species, come see some of our all-time favorite exhibits including the Mississippi River gallery featuring catfish, paddlefish and alligators; the Caribbean Reef exhibit featuring a clear, 30-foot-long tunnel surrounded by aquatic creatures; and the Gulf of Mexico exhibit featuring sharks, sea turtles and stingrays.

Audubon Zoo One of the country’s top-ranked zoos, Audubon Zoo blends the exotic excitement of animals from around the globe with the serenity of its lush gardens. With innovative natural habitat exhibits and an animal collection ranging from the unique and extraordinary white alligators to the majestic Bengal Tigers, Audubon Zoo has become one of the Gulf South’s favorite family gathering spots.
